You just got ENGAGED!

December 16, 2019

Congratulations! You just got engaged! As the holidays end and bridal proposals begin, we want to share with you some amazing tips that will be useful in the first three months after saying ‘Yes’!

But first, let me tell you about myself and why I can give this advice. I have been in the bridal industry for over 25 years. When I started, I was more geared towards assisting my family and friends who had no idea where to start. As the years passed, I decided to go back to school and receive training in the wedding event planning industry. I then began to understand the need for someone that actually cared about a bride's wellbeing during this otherwise stressful time.

I became a wedding consultant to assist brides in finding the perfect look for their special day. Shortly after, I became the number one Master consultant in Chicago as well as in Atlanta, GA. I then decided to go into business for myself. With a background in photography, I purchased a photo booth company in 2018 and I have served hundreds of brides in this short time. I give them more than just a photo booth; I give them an experience while adding my unique twist to every event.

Every year in the United States, an average of 2.4 million weddings are performed. Couples spend, on average, $30,000 on their wedding. With that being said, where do you start?

Start with a journal: This will help you to remember the smallest of details and be sure to keep it close by. You may never know when that great idea will pop into your head.

Get a budget: You have to start somewhere even if you have to add to it later. Don’t fear the things that are not in your budget, instead ask family and friends for referrals that can easily get you a discount or extras.

Wedding Party: Who will be your side? Make sure they are available to you as you will need #TeamBride and #TeamGroom to get you through this year.

Wedding planner: Yes, if you are able to get one, you should. As much as you have dreamed about your perfect day, you’d want it to be perfect. A wedding planner has the ability to make your dream become reality.

Get your date secured: Most weddings take a year to plan, so if you have a special date you’d like to have your wedding on, lock it in as soon as possible. Venues tend to book a year in advanced for weddings so don’t wait until the last minute to start looking for a venue and setting a date.

I am excited about your special day! A MJ Production is more than just a Photo booth, we are an experience and we would love to be apart of your wedding!
